New Dystopian Novels: Collateral Minds Series

The war is over, but the battle for people’s minds has just begun! Teenagers’ mysterious disappearances, accidents, and deaths are some of the casualties of this new front in the battle.

The source of the problem: government mandated neuro-implanted Doppelgänger Chips that cause linked teens to feel the strong emotions of their chip-linked partner. This was created to foster empathy for a person from another class. Will feeling the emotions of another create strong enough empathy to overcome the differences that divide them?

Follow the story of two linked teens as they navigate the dangers and the challenges of their first mandatory face-to-face meeting: their Doppelgänger Meet. The situations they encounter mirror today’s headlines, and their reactions to them reflect their environmentally tainted characters. Will they betray each other or unite to face the danger from those who fear that this partial solution just might work?
